Consultation

Ochanomizu University offers a wide range of support to help international students smoothly settle into a new life in Japan and at the University and gives advice on your concerns about health, studies/research and so on.

One-to-one tutoring providing consultation and advice

Graduate students of Ochanomizu University act as tutors to provide international students with consultation and advice regarding studies and research under the guidance of a research supervisor. By recommendation of the research supervisor, your tutor is assigned by the University according to your field of study. You may meet your tutor in person, as needed.

Consultation Office available for anything from everyday life to learning

Tutors present in the consultation office help international students mainly by correcting their reports and papers in Japanese.

Go straight to the Health Care Center if you don’t feel well

If you suspect to be infected with COVID-19, please contact the COVID-19 Infection Prevention Office (corona-taisaku@cc.ocha.ac.jp).

We provide support to ensure that students can concentrate on their studies in good health.

Internal medicine/General health consultation
Mental health consultation/counseling (appointment required)
Gynecological consultation (appointment required)

When visiting a doctor, bring your Student ID card or ID. Physical examinations, medication, treatment for injuries, and consultations are provided free of charge.

Easily approachable Center Against Sexual Harassment and Human Rights Abuse

Expert counselors provide support in addressing sexual harassment and other human rights violations. If a problem arises, don’t keep it to yourself. Seek help. Any information shared during consultation is kept strictly confidential. Make an appointment by phone, e-mail, or directly at the center. Anonymous consultations are also possible.
