2013年8月1日(木曜日)〜9日(金曜日)開催

お茶の水女子大学では、学生のキャリア発展と海外学生との交流促進を願い、昨年に引き続き本年も、英語によるサマープログラムを開講いたします。本学国際化戦略の一環として、国際的に活躍できるグローバル人材の育成や学生の双方向交流の推進を目指しています。
サマープログラムは、2013年8月、留学生を含む本学学生、並びに国内協定校の特別聴講学生向け（単位互換）に集中講義として開講すると同時に海外協定校等からの留学生を受け入れ、また科目等履修生として一般の皆様を対象に開講します。意欲ある学生や一般の皆様の参加を期待します。

＜テーマ１＞　「現代日本の社会政策、教育、家族、発達に関するパースペクティブ」
“Contemporary Perspectives on Social Policy,Education,Family and Development”

本授業では5名の学際的な教員が現代日本の社会政策、教育、家族、子どもの発達に関する様々なパースペクティブをプレゼンします。各セッションは講義とディスカッションから構成されています。学生の活発なディスカッションへの参加を期待します。

This class, taught by an interdisciplinary team of five professors, will present various perspectives on social policy, education, family and child development in contemporary Japan. Each session consists of lectures and discussions. Students are expected to actively participate in class discussions.

＜テーマ２＞　「自然科学の最新トピックスと日本の貢献」
”Latest Topics in Natural Sciences and Contribution of Japan”

自然界には多様な形と色をした物質や生物が存在します。その形（構造、集合体）や色の実体が何であるか、また何を意味するかについて、数学・物理学・化学・生物学・情報学などの理学的な学問が解き明かしてくれます。本講義では、形や色に関わるサイエンスを中心に、理学部の教員がオムニバス形式でそれぞれの研究分野の視点から英語で解説します。さらに、各専門分野での最新トピックスと日本の貢献についても、わかりやすく紹介します。

Nature is filled with structurally diverse or differently-colored substances and living creatures. The physical nature of form (structure or assembly) and color is figured out by the sciences, especially mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and information science. The lectures examine and explain the science on form and color, and are given in English by teaching staff in the Faculty of Science. Each lecturer will present, in simple terms, the latest areas of interest and contribution of Japan in their own field of expertise. This will ensure an overall comprehensive approach.

＜テーマ３＞　「“美しさ”のグローバリゼーション——現代アート、建築、文学におけるクロスカルチャー的発展」
“Globalized Aesthetics: An Introduction to Cross-Cultural Developments in Contemporary Art, Architecture, and Literature”

このコースは、ヴィジュアル・アート、建築、文学について、現代の国際的な作用を包括的に紹介することをめざしている。まずこれらの領域の最近の展開について概観し、次いでそれらの変容について詳細に検討する。視覚表現と記述表現の異なった形態の区別と連関が国際的に行われていることも取り上げる。この授業では、さまざまなアーティストの作品や作家のテクストを細かく分析することで、美学的な理解をいっそう深めるような観察上のテクニックを学ぶ。モダニストやポストモダニストのアート、フィクション、ドラマ、詩を含む広範な事例を扱うが、内容や語り口や学術的意味を読解するテクニックを考えるためにふさわしい事例を選んで取り上げる。ラフカディオ・ハーンから、吉本ばなな、村上春樹、村上隆にまでいたる、日本についての最も有名で論争的な事例も取り上げる。このコースで学ぶことでまた、英語の語彙を拡大することができるだろう。

This program aims to offer students a comprehensive introduction to contemporary international responses to the visual arts, architecture, and literature. The course will consider recent developments in the above major areas before turning to detailed examination of their critical reception. The major distinctions and connections between different forms of visual art and writing currently practiced internationally will also be considered. These classes intend to demonstrate the observational techniques with which to enable greater aesthetic understanding through the close examination of a variety of artists’ works and writers’ texts. A broad range of examples including some of the most celebrated and controversial perspectives on Japan, ranging from Lafcadio Hearn to Banana Yoshimoto, from Haruki Murakami to Takashi Murakami - will encompass modernist and contemporary postmodernist works of art, fiction, drama, and poetry, which will be selected to consider further techniques in close reading for content, narrative, and academic meaning. The course also intends to help students hugely expand their English vocabulary.

• 国内協定校の学生（特別聴講学生）：

• 海外協定校の学生（特別聴講学生）：
  本学から海外の協定校に開講案内を送付しますので、各所属大学の協定担当部署にお問い合わせください。
  
• 一般の方は科目等履修生として履修いただけます：
  本学ホームページ　科目等履修生の募集について　をご覧願います。検定料、入学料、授業料が別途必要となります。

申し込み期限

本学への申し込み期限は、５月末日ですが、各所属大学にお問い合わせください。
なお、本学の学部学生・大学院生は、通常の前学期（春学期）の履修登録期間となります。
科目等履修生のかたは、平成25年4月30日（火曜日）〜5月14日（火曜日）の平日9:00〜16:00を予定しています。

≪男性のかたへ≫
本サマープログラムは、男性の参加も可能です。ただし、学部科目等履修生として男性が受講することは、本学の規定によりできません。詳しくは下記へお問い合わせください。
